Huge fire broke out on Friday in Beita town south of Nablus city due to Israeli occupation forces’ intensive firing of tear gas grenades.
Head of Beita council Wasef Malla told the PIC reporter that firefighters struggled to put out the fire. Extra teams were summoned for help he added.
Violent clashes erupted at the town’s entrance after Friday prayer was performed in the area in solidarity with Palestinian hunger striking detainees. Israeli forces closed the entrance before protesters Malla added.
