Hunger striking prisoner’s detention extended

The Palestinian prisoner Alaa al-Araj’s administrative detention was extended on Tuesday until next Thursday despite his serious health deterioration as he continues hunger strike for 94 days.

Al-Araj’s wife affirmed that her husband was summoned for investigation last week despite being unable to move due to his critical health situation.

She further stressed that he will continue his hunger strike till putting an end to his administrative detention without charge or trial.

Meanwhile pro-prisoners solidarity sit-ins were organized in different parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The vigils came in support of the six Palestinian prisoners who continue hunger strike in Israeli jails in protest against their administrative detention.

Prisoners’ photos were raised and pro-prisoners slogans were chanted during the events.

Six Palestinian prisoners have been on hunger strike for different periods in protest at their detention administratively.

They are Kayed al-Fasfous Alaa al-Araj Miqdad al-Qawasmeh Hisham Abu Hawash Ayyad al-Harimi and Louay al-Ashqar.
