The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Sunday decided to extend the administrative detention of Palestinian prisoner Adal Musa for three months Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported.
“Musa was supposed to be released today” PPS said in a press statement adding that Israel is backtracking on its agreement on Adal’s release at conclusion of his administrative detention.
Musa continued his hunger strike for 37 days before suspending it last September in light of Israeli promises to release him according to the PPS.
It affirmed that the IOA has been escalating administrative detention orders pointing out that more than 820 Palestinians are currently held under administrative detention.
Last August the IOA issued administrative detention orders against Adal Musa and his brother Ahmad after arresting them.
Adal who is an ex-prisoner has been held in Ofer prison. He is a father of two and he spent seven years in Israeli jails.
