The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Wednesday prevented relatives of a Palestinian prisoner from the Jenin refugee camp from visiting him in Gilboa jail.
The father of prisoner Qassam Jabbareen said that Israeli soldiers at al-Jalama checkpoint in Jenin refused to allow him and his family to go to Gilboa jail through the crossing to visit his son.
He added that an Israeli officer at the crossing claimed there was a security reason preventing the prisoner’s family from visiting him in jail although he obtained an Israeli visit permit through the Red Cross.
