The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) approved Wednesday evening the confiscation of 3989 dunums of Palestinian land in Nablus’s southern town of Asira al-Qibliyeh.
Anti-settlement activist Ghassan Daghlas said the IOA notified the Palestinian Liaison of its intent to grab hold of 3989 dunums of Palestinian lands in Asira al-Qibliyeh.
The order was issued by the IOA on claims that it aims to deter anti-occupation operations.
Daghlas confirmed that the targeted land lots are privately owned by Palestinians from Asira al-Qibliyeh and other adjacent villages.
The activist spoke out against the Israeli flimsy pretexts saying the area has witnessed a state of calm over recent months.
He dubbed the confiscation issue the “most dangerous” since the start of 2017.
