The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Sunday confiscateda sum of money during a police raid on a house in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The money belonged to a Jerusalemite ex-detainee calledMajed al-Jaaba. Local sources affirmed that IOA also closed his bank account.
Last month the Israeli police kidnaped Jaaba from his homein Bab Hitta neighborhood in the Old City and later released him afterquestioning him for several hours.
Police forces also last year broke into and ransacked thehouse of Jaaba and seized 8400 shekels belonging to his family.
Jaaba spent about seven years in Israeli jails and has beenexposed to persecution at the hands of the Israeli police several times before.
