The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked on Tuesday morning Palestinian farmers in the besieged Gaza Strip and carried out a small-scale incursion into a border area.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers at military posts behind the border fence in the east of Gaza City fired machine guns and tear gas canisters at farmers as they were working their lands in the east of az-Zeitoun neighborhood.
Farmers also came under similar IOF attack in the east of al-Qarara town in southern Gaza.
Luckily all the farmers escaped unhurt from the targeted areas.
Meanwhile seven armored bulldozers escorted by three Merkava tanks advanced from a military post into a border area in the east of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.
The heavy machinery embarked on leveling and digging swaths of agricultural land which are located near the border fence.
The border areas of Gaza are repeatedly exposed to Israeli military incursions and gunfire attacks. Such violations cause considerable damage to crops and prevent farmers from working their lands.
