The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked on Wednesday morning Palestinian fishermen off the northern shores of the besieged Gaza Strip and infiltrated a border area in the east of the coastal enclave.
According to the local fishermen syndicate Israeli gunboats opened machinegun fire at fishermen and their boats and chased them off the northern coast of Gaza.
A similar IOF attack reportedly happened on Tuesday evening in Gaza’s southern waters particularly off the shores of Khan Yunis and Rafah areas.
Luckily no one was hurt in the shooting attacks that took place today and yesterday. However the fishermen in the targeted areas had to return ashore.
Meanwhile the IOF carried out Wednesday morning a limited incursion into a border area in the east of Gaza City.
Local sources said that eight armored bulldozers escorted by three Merkava tanks advanced from a military post into a border area in the east of al-Zeitoun neighborhood.
The heavy machinery embarked on leveling and digging swaths of agricultural land which are located several meters away from the border fence.
