Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed a landfill in Rojib town east of Nablus on Tuesday for being close to Itamar settlement.
Mohammad Abu Thabet a field activist in the town told Quds Press that the IOF soldiers broke into Rojib town leveled a road leading to the landfill and confiscated a truck along with a bulldozer while working in the site.
Rojib town’s council had to move the landfill to another location away from the area Abu Thabet pointed out.
Many Palestinian towns and villages in the West Bank complain of the leakage of sewage from Israeli settlements and military camps that pollute the environment and leads to the spread of many diseases.
Israeli authorities however show no response to Palestinians’ complaints in this regard he highlighted.
