The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued on Thursday to besiege Nablus for the second consecutive day as part of the Israeli collective punishment policy.
Local sources affirmed that the Israeli forces closed the Huwara and Beit Furik checkpoints preventing the Palestinian movement in both directions.
The IOF soldiers also closed entrances to Deir Sharaf and Surra villages.
Earlier Wednesday a general strike was declared throughout Nablus in response to the Arin al-Osoud (Lion’s Den) armed group’s call for mobilization in solidarity with its besieged compatriots in Shuafat refugee camp.
