A Palestinian journalist was injured and another was arrested when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently quelled protests in al-Khalil City against the “Deal of the Century”.
Local sources said that dozens of university students marched toward the northern entrance to al-Khalil City to protest the US peace plan for the Middle East known as the “Deal of the Century”.
The IOF met the peaceful demonstrators with rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters.
Dozens of Palestinian students choked on tear gas and a journalist identified as Abed al-Mohsen Shalaldeh 27 was injured with a tear gas canister in the head.
Another journalist identified as Mohammed Melhem was arrested by the IOF while covering the protests.
