IOF kidnaps 23 Palestinians knocks down 4 shops in West Bank

Thursday 3-November-2016

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday knocked down four Palestinian shops and kidnapped 23 civilians in abrupt sweeps launched across the West Bank.

Nine members of the Abu Al-Deeb family were kidnapped by the IOF from the Al-Am’ari refugee camp in southern Ramallah province.

According to a PIC correspondent the IOF soldiers rolled into the Al-Am’ari camp and wreaked havoc on Abu Al-Deeb family home before they kidnapped the mother and father along with their seven siblings.

The IOF cordoned off the camp and closed all access roads out of and into the area for the second consecutive day.

Clashes burst out in the area where the IOF attacked the Palestinian anti-occupation protesters with rubber bullet rounds and teargas canisters.

The Palestinian protesters responded by hurling stones and empty bottles on the occupation troops.

Settlement expert and journalist Khaled Maali was also kidnapped by the IOF from Salfit.

The occupation troops further kidnapped the two brothers Mus’ab and Muhannad Ma’zouz Dalal from Qalqilya province. The captives have been identified as the sons of Ma’zouz Dalal who died due to medical neglect in Israeli jails.

The occupation troops kidnapped three more Palestinians from Al-Khalil including ex-prisoner Ahmad Abu Sundus released a few months earlier from Israeli prisons where he had spent seven years.

Another Palestinian youth was kidnapped by the IOF from Ramallah province.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of two brothers—Mohamed and Mujahed Ali Aweissat—along with citizen Mohamed Daoud Abda from Occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile an Israeli army bulldozer knocked down four commercial shops in Beita town to the south of Nablus.

Over recent years the IOF reduced several Palestinian shops near Beita to rubble on claims of being built in the Israeli-run Area C.

In a related development several Palestinian protesters choked on teargas in clashes with the IOF in Jenin’s southern town of Qabatiya.

Reporting from the scene a PIC news correspondent said the IOF stormed Qabatiya in over 12 military jeeps and cracked down on the Palestinian civilians.

The IOF rummaged into the al-Dreidi family home in Qabatiya and aggressively attacked the native inhabitants before they smashed its property.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers also stormed the home of prisoner Udai Sha’ban in Nour Shams camp in Tulkarem and assaulted the local residents after they locked them up in one room.
