A Palestinian young man was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday after he allegedly carried out a car ramming attack near the illegal settlement of Havat Gilad to the west of Nablus.
The IOF said that an Israeli soldier fired live bullets at the Palestinian youth who was in his car claiming that he accelerated while driving towards an Israeli military vehicle before colliding with it.
Havat Gilad settlement is established on Palestinian lands in the Sura and Jit towns west of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Two Palestinian civilians were martyred while a Jewish settler was killed and 14 Israeli soldiers or settlers were injured last week during clashes or shooting attacks in several areas of the occupied Palestinian territories.
