Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed a Palestinian youth in Ramallah on Tuesday.
Medical sources said that IOF soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinian demonstrators in Nabi Saleh village to the north west of Ramallah hitting the youth Nihad al-Barghouthi in his abdomen.
They added that Nihad an ex-prisoner was rushed to a hospital in Ramallah where he was pronounced dead.
Nihad was held in Israeli occupation prisons for two years and was detained while only 17 years old.
Local sources said that confrontations erupted between the heavily-armed IOF soldiers and young men at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh during which the soldiers fired live bullets and teargas at the young men.
The IOF patrols and Jewish settlers provocatively tour the village’s streets on daily basis during which the settlers rampage in the town and soldiers break into houses triggering confrontations with the villagers.
