Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot a young man in the head killing him instantly in al-Khalil while others were injured by IOF bullets in separate areas in the West Bank on Friday.
Press sources reported that the martyr Ahmed Younis al-Atrash 29 a former prisoner was released from Israeli prisons about a year ago.
Another young man was shot in the hand and foot and dozens suffered breathing problems during the IOF suppression of the central march launched in the Bil’in village west of Ramallah in commemoration of the 46th anniversary of Land Day. The IOF fired live bullets tear gas canisters and sound bombs at the participants.
The IOF also injured two civilians during Qaryut clashes south of Nablus one of them by shrapnel from a sound bomb in the eye and the other with a rubber-coated metal bullet in the thigh.
“Settlers stormed the southwestern area of the village under the protection of the occupation soldiers” the head of Qaryut village council Nidal Al-Badawi said adding that when locals tried to fend off the settlers’ attack they were assaulted by the IOF soldiers who showered the citizens with rubber bullets and teargas bombs.
Meanwhile similar clashes were reported in Beita village south of Nablus and Beit Dajan east of Nablus where the IOF fired at the locals rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters.
“Two civilians were wounded by metal bullets and 52 suffered breathing difficulty due to the intensive firing of tear gas during the confrontations in Beita” the director of ambulance and emergency at the Red Crescent in Nablus Ahmed Jibril reported.
“In Beit Dajan a Palestine TV reporter was injured by a sound bomb while 15 others suffered breathing problems” Jibril added.
