The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday opened fire at a Palestinian Red Crescent Society ambulance north of al-Bireh city in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that the ambulance was on its way to Deir Dibwan village in Ramallah and al-Bireh province to transport a patient to the hospital when the IOF soldiers deployed at Beitin checkpoint opened fire at it. No injuries were reported.
The Red Crescent condemned the attack which violates international law and the Geneva Conventions prohibiting the targeting of medical crews.
