The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning opened their gunfire at Palestinian fishermen and farmers in the eastern and northern Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that Israeli navy gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off northern Gaza shore.
Gazan fishermen are routinely harassed by the Israeli navy under the pretext of exceeding the permitted fishing distance (9 nautical miles). The fishermen constantly face the risk of being injured killed or kidnapped.
Local residents said that the IOF soldiers deployed at the borderline east of Juhor ad-Dik village to the southeast of Gaza city opened fire at farmers and sheep herders forcing them to leave their lands. No injuries were reported.
