IOF opens fire at farmers and fishermen in Gaza

Monday 30-May-2022

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked on Monday morning Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the besieged Gaza Strip with no reported casualties.

Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers at the Kissufim military post fired machine guns and tear gas canisters at farmers and their fields in the east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Several fishermen and their boats also came under gunfire and teargas attack from Israeli gunboats as they were working within a few nautical miles off the shores of as-Sudaniya and Waha areas in the north of Gaza City.

Luckily all the farmers and fishermen escaped unhurt from the targeted areas.

Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for the mediated ceasefire deals in Gaza or even the international law.
