The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday morning prevented Palestinian farmers from picking olive harvests in northwestern Nablus province in the northern West Bank.
Campaigner Khaled Mansour told the PIC that the IOF prevented the Palestinian inhabitants of al-Nakoura Zaouta and Asira al-Shamaliya towns from reaping olive harvest under the security pretext.
The IOF held guns to the farmers’ heads and threatened to kill them in case they enter the olive groves.
The IOF forced the farmers out of the area shortly afterwards.
According to Mansour the attack entails heavy economic losses for the Palestinian locals whose incomes rest solely on agriculture.
He added that the assault unveils Israeli attempts to seize Palestinian lands near the bypass road into the area under the security pretext.
