Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday quelled two anti-settlement marches in Kafr Qaddum and Ni’lin villages in the West Bank.
In Qalqilya the IOF quelled the Kafr Qaddum weekly march which demands opening the village’s road that has been closed for more than 14 years in favor of the Israeli settlers living in the nearby Kedumim settlement.
Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddum Murad Shtewi said that the IOF soldiers stormed the village and showered the protesters with rubber-coated metal bullets sound bombs and tear gas canisters.
Shtewi affirmed that the Kafr Qaddum residents will continue to participate in their weekly marches until they achieve all of their goals calling on the Palestinian people to step up their protests against the Israeli occupation and its settlers.
A number of foreign peace activists participated in the march alongside the Kafr Qaddum residents.
Meanwhile in Ramallah the IOF quelled the peaceful march launched in Ni’lin village after Friday prayer against the settlement and the separation wall.
Member of the anti-settlement and anti-wall committee in Ni’lin Mohammed Amira said that the IOF soldiers attacked the participants with sound bombs and tear gas canisters but no injuries were reported.
