IOF raids homes kidnaps citizens in dawn W. Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday launched widespread raids on homes in different West Bank areas and kidnapped at least 13 Palestinian citizens.

According to a statement released by the Israeli army its forces arrested eight wanted Palestinians during campaigns in the West Bank.

The IOF claimed finding weapons during its raids on homes in al-Khalil city and seizing thousands of shekels belonging to the resistance during a search campaign in Idhna town.

Palestinian local sources reported that violent clashes broke out at dawn between young men and soldiers during IOF campaigns in the West Bank.

In Ramallah eyewitnesses reported that soldiers assaulted and injured a Palestinian called Mahmoud Abu Hamza during confrontations with young men in al-Jalazoun refugee camp before rounding him up.

In Bethlehem skirmishes reportedly took place in Wadi Shahin neighborhood after an Israeli military force ransacked the house of prisoner Anas Nawawreh.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers brought with them Nawawreh who was taken prisoner two days ago during their campaign in the town.

The IOF also kidnapped ex-detainee Baha Awad 30 after storming and searching his home in Budrus town west of Ramallah.

Another young man was rounded up during dawn clashes with Israeli soldiers in Am’ari refugee camp near Ramallah city.

Several citizens were also kidnapped from their homes during an IOF campaign in different areas of al-Khalil. One of the detainees was identified as Mousa al-Rajbi.

In Jerusalem local sources said that five young men were kidnapped from their homes during an IOF campaign in Shuafat refugee camp.

Border police soldiers also stormed Beit Surik town northwest of Jerusalem and handed a home demolition order to the family of martyr Nimer al-Jamal who carried out an attack recently at the entrance to the illegal West Bank settlement of Har Adar and killed 3 soldiers.

According to the demolition notice the family of Jamal was given 72 hours to file an objection to the decision to raze their home.
