The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at a Palestinian young man at the Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus following an alleged stabbing attack on Tuesday morning.
Eyewitnesses said that IOF soldiers opened fire on the young man and took him to an unknown place without specifying what his condition was.
A spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that a stabbing attack was carried out at the Hawara checkpoint. No details were further released.
Dozens of Palestinians have been killed by the IOF in recent months for allegedly attempting to carry out stabbing or car-ramming attacks. Palestinian rights groups meanwhile accuse the IOF of deliberately killing Palestinians while they posed no risk to their lives.
