A Palestinian young man was injured on Sunday morning after he was shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at a checkpoint on Palestinian land located near the Israeli separation wall west of Jenin.
Local sources said that the IOF shot Mohammed Jaradat 32 in the leg while he was attempting to enter the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948.
They added that Jaradat was detained and transferred to Salem military camp for interrogation before he was handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The IOF soldiers have recently stepped up their shooting attacks against the Palestinians in the areas bordering the separation wall in the West Bank under various pretexts.
