Dozens of Palestinian citizens choked on tear gas fired by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during the weekly demonstration in Kafr Qaddum village near Qalqilya.

Activist Murad Shtewi said that the IOF attacked the peaceful demonstrators with rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas grenades.

Dozens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas Shtewi added.

Every Friday the Palestinian residents of Kafr Qaddum hold a march in protest at the Israeli seizure of Palestinian land in favor of settlement construction. The demonstration also calls for opening the main road of the village which has been closed for 16 years.

Dozens of Palestinian citizens on Saturday evening choked on tear gas fired by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during violent quelling of an anti-settlement demonstration in Kafr Qaddum town east of Qalqilya.

Local sources said that the IOF attacked a peaceful demonstration in Kafr Qaddum protesting the Israeli settlement construction activity and calling for opening the town’s main road that has been closed for 16 years.

The IOF heavily fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the peaceful protesters. Dozens of them suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.
