Confrontations erupted on Friday between the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and the Palestinians at the entrance to the town of Beita south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that dozens of civilians suffered breathing problems and were beaten by the IOF soldiers during the confrontations.
Hundreds of citizens participated in a march after Friday prayer at the entrance to Beita which was closed with concrete cubes a week ago.
This rally was called by the factional coordination committee in the town where citizens demand the removal of the Givat Avitar settlement outpost from the summit of Mount Sobeih.
At dawn Friday IOF closed the main roads leading to the town using earth mounds and cement blocks and imposed a siege on it.
Beita residents stated that IOF escorted bulldozers to block the roads leading to Mount Sobeih Al-Khalal Road Luna Park and the bypass road.
On Thursday night the youths had prevented the entry of any truck carrying Israeli goods on the bypass road until the settlement outpost was evacuated.
