Islamic Jihad movement announced on Thursday its intention to participate in the Palestinian National Council’s preparatory committee meeting to be held in Beirut next week.
Islamic Jihad stated that they received an invitation from the preparatory committee to attend the meeting next week in Beirut.
“After discussing the invitation with other major Palestinian parties Islamic Jihad decided to attend the committee’s session out of keenness on the Palestinian national interest” it added while emphasizing that this will provide a chance to rebuild the PLO to include all Palestinian factions.
Hamas Movement earlier announced that it is willing to attend the meeting of the preparatory committee after receiving the invitation.
