A delegation from the Islamic Jihad led by the movement’s secretary general Ziad al-Nakhala arrived on Wednesday in the Russian capital Moscow.
The Islamic Jihad said in a statement that a delegation led by al-Nakhala and composed of Islamic Jihad political bureau members Mohammed al-Hindi and Abed al-Aziz al-Minawi as well as the movement’s representative in Lebanon Ihsan Ataya arrived in Moscow.
The statement noted that the visit came as a response to an official invitation by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russia has recently hosted delegations from the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the Palestinian National Initiative Movement.
The Islamic Jihad’s previous visit to Russia was in February 2019 to discuss the Palestinian national reconciliation.
