An Islamic Jihad delegation on Friday concluded an official visit to Russia that included several meetings on various Palestinian issues.
The Islamic Jihad announced that its delegation headed by the movement’s deputy secretary general Ziad al-Nakhala left Russia on Friday following a successful visit that included several important meetings with Russian officials.
The delegation had discussed with the Russian side the Islamic Jihad’s vision on the conflict with the Israeli occupation and ways to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
The delegation thanked the Russian Foreign Ministry for the good hospitality and expressed their hope that Russia will play a positive role in supporting the Palestinian people’s rights and lifting the unjust blockade on the Gaza Strip.
In addition to Ziad al-Nakhala the delegation included members of the Islamic Jihad Political Bureau Mohammed al-Hindi and Anwar Abu Taha.
