The Israeli occupation authority has started to build a new road for settlers on annexed land in Deir al-Hatab town east of Nablus according to local sources.
Deir al-Hatab municipality chief Abdul-Kareem Hussein told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that local farmers reported seeing Israeli bulldozers preparing and flattening a vast tract of land for the construction of the road.
Abdul-Kareem expressed fears that this road could be part of a plan to annex hundreds of dunums of Palestinian-owned land for the establishment of a new settlement outpost adding that the farmers would fail to reach their fields if this happened.
