The Israeli occupation army on Monday launched military exercises near Aqraba town near Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Anti-settlement activist Yousef Deiriya said that panic prevailed among the Palestinian citizens in Khirbat al-Tawil when the Israeli army started heavy artillery training in the early morning hours near their houses.
Deiriya pointed out that the Israeli army conducts military exercises from time to time in the West Bank destroying large tracts of the Palestinian lands.
He added that the Israeli occupation forces target Khirbat al-Tawil on a regular basis explaining that they have demolished a large number of houses and structures in the village for allegedly being unlicensed.
The Palestinian activist noted that Khirbat al-Tawil and the surrounding areas have the most fertile agricultural lands overlooking the Jordan Valley. That’s why Israel is attempting to force the Palestinian citizens there to leave the area.
