Israeli army patrols at dawn Wednesday stormed Nablus’s southern town of Burin and set up ambushes to chase Palestinian anti-occupation youth.
Reporting from Nablus a PIC news correspondent said four Israeli army patrols stormed Burin just after midnight and pitched ambushes in the hunt for Palestinian protesters.
A couple of hours later the occupation patrols retreated to the Hawara military camp.
At the same time military maneuvers were carried out by the Israeli army in eastern Akraba town to the southeast of Nablus for the third consecutive day.
Local activist Youssef Diriyeh said hundreds of Israeli soldiers joined the military drills which were predominantly carried out in al-Yafjin hamlet.
Bullet shrapnel and remnants have been spotted across the area while fumes emerging from military vehicles swathed the entire territory.
