The Israeli authorities on Monday morning displaced a Palestinian family after demolishing its home in the Palestinian city of Kafr Qasem city east of Tel Aviv at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Alaa Odeh and his family had fought a long legal battle to freeze the demolition of their house in order to have the chance to obtain a permit but their efforts were to no avail.
The Israeli magistrate court in Petah Tikva city rejected an appeal filed recently by the family’s lawyer to freeze the demolition measure.
Other 13 inhabited homes in the southeastern area of Kafr Qasem are also threatened with demolition according to local sources.
