Israeli prison authorities took away over 2000 books and manuscripts read by Palestinian detainees in Hadarim lock-up.

A lawyer from the Palestinian Prisoners Society said following a visit to Palestinian sections in Hadarim jail that over 2000 books have been seized by the occupation authorities.

The lawyer quoted the detainees as stating that the move makes part of Israeli attempts to prevent Palestinian detainees from pursing their academic careers minimize their intellectual output and isolate them from the outside world by all means possible.
