Israeli court passes harsh sentences against three prisoners

Monday 11-September-2017

An Israeli court in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday passed harsh imprisonment sentences against three Jerusalemite detainees from Sour town near the holy city. The prisoners were allegedly charged with causing the death of a Jewish settler.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported that the court sentenced Mahmoud Duwaiyat to 18 years of imprisonment. While Mohammad Abu Kaf was issued a sentence to 9 years. The court did not announce the sentence of the third captive Fares al-Atrash as he is below 18 years old.

The court charged the three young men with causing the death of a Jewish man after he lost control of the car he was driving after the three threw stones at him near Occupied Jerusalem in September 2015.
