An Israeli court rejected anew a request filed for the release of cancer-stricken Nasser Abu Hamid who suffers from life-threatening health complications.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society the Israeli district court in Lod turned down on Sunday another request submitted by the lawyer of Abu Hamid asking judges to consider his critical health condition and order his early release.
The court hearing was held in the absence of prisoner Abu Hamid due to his health condition.
This was the second hearing for the prisoner held at the same court in Lod in order to study a request for his early release.
Last September Israeli doctors issued a medical report recommending Abu Hamid’s release saying his cancer reached an irreversible stage.
