Israeli dawn airstrikes rock different areas of Gaza

Israeli warplanes at dawn Thursday waged renewed air raids on different areas of the Gaza Strip with no reported injuries among civilians.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) in Gaza explosions were heard in different areas after warplanes targeted resistance posts.

Two resistance posts known as Bader and Quraish in Gaza City were reportedly stricken with five air-to-surface missiles.

Several missiles also hit a resistance post in al-Shati refugee camp northwest of Gaza City.

Meanwhile several air raids targeted a resistance post belonging to al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas in the west of Deir al-Balah city in central Gaza.

The PIC reporter affirmed that the airstrikes caused only material damage to the bombed sites and nearby homes.

Military helicopters and drones were also seen overflying different areas especially along the coast while gunboats approached the shores of Khan Younis south of Gaza.

Earlier the Israeli occupation army claimed its anti-missile system the Iron Dome intercepted on Wednesday evening two rockets fired from Gaza at Sderot settlement.

Another rocket landed in an open area of the Eshkol regional council near the eastern border of Gaza.

The Israeli army also threatened to close the Gaza border crossings of Karam Abu Salem and Beit Hanoun (Erez) in response to repeated rocket attacks on Israeli areas.
