Hamas spokesperson Mohammed Hamada said that Israel has intensified its attacks on Palestinian lands and holy sites by establishing new settlements and by escalating Judaization plans.
In a statement issued Wednesday evening Hamada described the Israeli settlement project to establish 1446 housing units in Sur Baher town in Occupied Jerusalem as a war crime.
Hamada stressed that Israeli settlement plans will never succeed to wipe out the Arab and Islamic identity of Occupied Jerusalem slamming the international silence towards Israeli crimes.
He further called on the Arab and Islamic countries to assume their historical responsibility in protecting the Palestinian land and holy sites foremost of which are Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque.
“Our people will continue their struggle by all possible means in defense of their legitimate rights” he concluded.
