The Israeli occupation forces have closed off the Bartaa checkpoint south of Jenin province in the northern occupied West Bank for the second day running.
Reporting from Jenin a PIC news correspondent said the measure comes after Israeli soldiers claimed that explosive devices that were allegedly about to be entered into territories occupied in 1948 for a projected anti-occupation operation were detected in the area.
At the same time Palestinian citizen Ibrahim Zeid was kidnapped by Israeli forces from Bartaa town as he passed through a military checkpoint set up near Yabad town. His vehicle was also seized by the occupation army.
