The Israeli government intends to approve a new plan to build hundreds of settler homes in Occupied Jerusalem next week.
The plan includes the building of 700 housing units in the illegal settlement of Givat Shaked near the Palestinian town of Beit Safafa in the southeast of Jerusalem.
According to Israel’s Channel 13 there have been recent American attempts including by the US ambassador to Israel Tom Nides to prevent the approval of these housing units but interior minister Ayelet Shaked insists that they be brought up for approval next week.
