Sheikh Ekrima Sabri the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque said on Thursday that the Israeli attempts to turn the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a touristic site for Jewish settlers aim at the Judaization of Jerusalem and obliterating its Islamic landmarks.
In a press release Sheikh Sabri warned of the Israeli plans to Judaize the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem stressing that the Israeli quest to control Jerusalem as its capital poses a serious threat to the Al-Aqsa.
“The Israeli occupation is escalating its crimes against the Al-Aqsa Mosque” Sheikh Sabri warned calling on Jerusalemites to intensify their presence in the holy site to confront the Israeli desecration.
Palestinian activists have called on the Palestinian youths and Jerusalemites to intensify their presence in Al-Aqsa on Friday to protect it from the repeated Israeli raids scheduled to be escalating in the coming days.
