The Israeli occupation police on Friday barred a Palestinian elderly woman from entering the Aqsa Mosque until next Sunday and ordered her to come to the Qishla police station in Jerusalem for further interrogation.
The Israeli police detained Nafisa Khuwais on Friday morning in the police station and then released her on condition that she stay away from the Aqsa Mosque for two days and come again for interrogation on Sunday.
The Israeli police arrested Khuwais on Wednesday as she was about to enter the Aqsa Mosque and forcibly prevented her the next day from entering the Mosque before handing her a summons for interrogation on Friday.
The Israeli police ban dozens of Jerusalemites from entering the Aqsa Mosque at the pretext of providing security for the settlers visiting the holy site.
