The Israeli police on Sunday decided to ban a Palestinian woman from entering al-Aqsa Mosque for two weeks.
Quds Press said that the Israeli police earlier on Sunday arrested Jehad al-Ghazzawi at al-Qatanin Gate near al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Ghazzawi was taken to a nearby detention center in the Old City of Jerusalem for interrogation before she was released and informed that she is not allowed to enter al-Aqsa Mosque for 15 days.
The Israeli police constantly target the Palestinians who pray at al-Aqsa Mosque frequently with arrests and entry bans.
In another context the Israeli forces released the Palestinian woman Zahra Ishtiyya 80 who was arrested while visiting her son Jawad Ishtiyya at Israel’s Gilboa prison.
The Ishtiyya family told Quds Press that Zahra was arrested at the Gilboa prison gate and transferred to an undeclared destination before she was released hours later.
Jawad Ishtiyya 42 has recently started his 16th year in Israeli jails. The Israeli authorities accused him of being a member of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades the former armed wing of Fatah movement in the West Bank and sentenced him to 30 years in jail.
