Israeli police banish Jerusalemite activist from Aqsa Mosque

The Israeli occupation police on Saturday released a Jerusalemite activist and handed him an order banning his entry to the Aqsa Mosque for several months.

According to local sources 45-year-old Rami Barakah received an order prohibiting his entry to the Mosque for six months.

Barakah was kidnaped from the Aqsa Mosque at dawn Saturday.

He had been detained several times before and served 20 months in an Israeli jail after an Israeli court criminalized his social charitable and educational activities at the Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli police also banished him from the Aqsa Mosque many times before.

The Israeli occupation police on Sunday summoned Jerusalemite activist Mohamed Arnaout for questioning at the Qishla detention center and handed him an order banning his entry to the Aqsa Mosque for six months.

Arnaout is an ex-detainee who has spent over 15 months in Israeli jails because of his active role in exposing Israeli demolition and displacement campaigns in the Palestinian neighborhoods of the holy city.

The Israeli police had already banned his travel to other countries.
