The Israeli occupation police on Sunday evening kidnaped three Jerusalemite young men and stormed the Aqsa Mosque’s Baba al-Rahma prayer hall.
According to local sources police officers kidnaped a young man called Hamza al-Julani from Bab al-Hitta area in the Old City of Jerusalem and hauled him to a nearby detention center.
Two other young men were also rounded up by police forces in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Wadi al-Joz north of the Old City following skirmishes with local youths.
Meanwhile police officers stormed in the evening the Aqsa Mosque’s Bab al-Rahma prayer hall and embarked on searching and photographing its interior.
Islamic Awqaf officials have always warned of Israeli attempts to shut down Bab al-Rahma as a prelude to turning it into a synagogue.
