Israeli settlers cut down dozens of olive trees in West Bank village

Friday 5-June-2020

A group of Israeli settlers on Thursday chopped off dozens of Palestinian-owned olive trees in Burin village south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

Local sources said that a group of Jewish settlers infiltrated into privately-owned Palestinian farmlands in the southern area of Burin and cut down about 36 olive trees owned by Palestinian citizen Naser Qadous.

They added that this is not the first time that settlers have destroyed olive trees owned by Qadous.

The settlers they said further torched wheat fields in the same village but the fire was quickly put out by Palestinian citizens.
