A group of Israeli settlers on Sunday burned vast tracts of Palestinian-owned farmland in Beita town south of Nablus City.
Beita’s mayor Fuad Ma’ali said that scores of Israeli settlers torched farmlands owned by Palestinian citizens in the town.
Civil defense crews rushed to the place to put off the fire but large parts of the targeted lands were damaged Ma’ali said.
Settler attacks are commonplace in the West Bank yet they are rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation authorities.
