Jenin farmers say Israeli restrictions spoil olive harvest

Wednesday 3-October-2018

Many Palestinian farmers in Jenin suffer from their failure to obtain permits from the Israeli occupation army’s civil administration in order to have access to their plots of land during the olive harvest season.

One of the farmers from Anin town told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the civil administration “is deliberately stalling the issuing of permits that allow many local farmers to reach the olive groves behind the separation wall.”

Another farmer from At-Tayba town affirmed that the civil administration imposes difficult conditions and puts obstacles before giving such permits including providing proof of ownership for the lands behind the wall.
