DAMASCUS (PIC)– Sami Khater political bureau member of the Hamas Movement has warned of an American-Zionist scheme that targets igniting civil strife in the Palestinian arena.
Khater in a statement to the PIC said that his Movement viewed with regret the ongoing attacks against the Hamas-led PA government security chaos and assaults on public and private institutions in addition to the kidnapping of Hamas cadres and sympathizers in particular.
He said that all such incidents were directly contributing to the American-Zionist scheme affirming conviction that dialogue was the only road towards solving internal disputes.
The Hamas leader asked all Palestinian forces and factions to shoulder their responsibilities in preserving national unity and opting for dialogue rather than arms.
Hamas would remain devoted to protecting unity of national line and to prohibiting the shedding of Palestinian blood at the hands of Palestinians he asserted.
Khater welcomed any Palestinian Arab or Islamic effort to bridge the gaps and to end the strife in order to achieve national harmony.
He warned that civil war was and still is an Israeli dream that Tel Aviv and its agents were incessantly working to materialize.
