President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Ali Larijani congratulated head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haneyya on his election as Hamas new leader.
In a congratulatory cable Larijani affirmed that his country and its Islamic Consultative Assembly support the Palestinian people until the liberation of Occupied Jerusalem and all other occupied Palestinian territories.
Ismail Haneyya was elected on May 06 as the new chairman of Hamas political bureau to succeed Khaled Mishaal.
