Massive marches of anger broke out after Friday prayer across Amman capital city and the entire kingdom of Jordan. The marches were held in protest at the US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Occupied Jerusalem as capital of Israel and accordingly move the US embassy to the holy city.
The protesters were gathered before the US embassy in Amman and carried banners condemning the US decision and others praising the Turkish position in this regard. Meanwhile the Jordanian security forces closed the roads leading to the embassy.
The outraged protesters affirmed that Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of Palestine and called on the US administration to revoke its unjust decision.
